WHAT'S ALL THIS TALK ABOUT BOUNDARIES? 

Establishing Boundaries is undeniably crucial for self-love and well-being, serving as a pivotal aspect on your journey of personal growth – it's all about BOUNDARIES!

I am thrilled to delve into this topic with you, but before we begin, let me share some valuable advice.

Initiating boundaries is no easy feat. Let's be honest, it's quite challenging. (cue deer in the headlights) Who really wants to tackle this, right?

It requires significant practice and a deep understanding of where you need boundaries in the first place!

Those who have worked on setting their boundaries would surely concur. It can indeed be a tough process! Yet, without them, life can become a struggle!

Checking in with your boundaries daily is essential!

I'm being honest when I say it takes practice. But it's vital, and the impact can be greater than you ever imagined.

(It's truly worthwhile. You deserve it!)

Implementing boundaries is not typically something we learn in our youth; in fact, we often learn the opposite! As a society, we have been conditioned to disregard boundaries, unknowingly encroaching on each other's space... all because no one sets boundaries in the first place.

PERSONAL BOUNDARIES refer to the limits you set for yourself in various aspects of your life. They are the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual barriers that inform others how you want to be treated. Personal boundaries help you create a sense of self-respect, self-worth, and self-care.

Without personal boundaries, you may feel lost, confused, and disrespected, not knowing why.

For me, it took some time to default to the ‘new’ and not allow people to crash my boundaries, saying NO, speaking up, because I was a “serious” People Pleaser. Like SERIOUS SERIOUS massive People Pleaser - and one that had to jump in to fix everyone's problems.

Yes, this nearly killed me !!!

And sometimes I still have to catch myself to not slip into the “Old Mindset”, when I really want to jump in and help fix things.

When we allow people to crash through our boundaries we become irritated, frustrated, annoyed, powerless, and overall unbalanced

If we don’t implement boundaries, others don’t know. It’s human (programming) to put ourselves first in times of needing to fill our own cup and humans like to manipulate others to get what they want, without realizing. (well in some cases they do)
